Wash Park, Platt Park, and the University areas all have a wide variety of options. This area is super charming, rich in character, and give you the Denver experience without having to go up against the headache of I-25.

  • Sushi Den/Izakaya Den - one of the best sushi places

  • Jack’s On Pearl - South Pearl. Fancier but their upstairs is more low key. So good and great staff

  • Kaos Pizza  - South Pearl. Good GF pizzas!

  • Hoja - Mexican breakfast & lunch. Lots of GF options.

  • Steam Coffee Bar - great local spot with outdoor space. Second location in the Highlands

  • Chook Chicken - comfort food but relatively healthy, multiple locations

  • Sukiya Ramen - South Pearl Street location is the best IMHO, but they have multiple locations 

  • Perdida - South Gaylord. Cute coastal Mexican spot, such fun decor and vibe; birria tacos & yummy margs - mid for the price, but fun.

  • The Green Collective - Multiple locations. South Gaylord. Great for fresh breakfast and lunch options, as well as juices.

  • Tokyo Premium Bakery - South Pearl. Japanese Bakery - AMAZING, good matcha too

  • Homegrown Tap & Dough - South Gaylord. Great pizza & cute neighborhood vibe. Happy Hour Mon-Fri 2pm-5pm

  • Uncle Ramen - West Wash Park or the Highlands- duck ramen YUM!

  • Devil’s Food Bakery - South Gaylord; Great for breakfast & brunch, or coffee.

  • Cookery at Myrtle Hill - South Gaylord. Breakfast & lunch owned by Devil’s Food do you know it’s good 

  • LingLon Dumpling House - South Colorado Blvd by the neighborhood target

  • Pupusas Lover - South Colorado Blvd. Authentic & delicious Pupusas

  • Quiero Arepas - South Pearl. Gluten-Free & amazing. Plus fresh coconuts & yummy passionfruit juice!

  • Duffy Roll Cafe - Colorado classic. Great for pastries, breakfast, & lunch.

  • Bonnie Brae Ice Cream - Local favorite. Charming area. Line (typically) out the door.
